Who is entitled to feel in the age of populism? Women's resistance to migrant detention in Britain

Abstract European states have adopted strict migration policies, such as unlimited detention in Britain, to address increasing anti-immigrant emotions the context of rising populism. These state practices prioritize feelings insecurity some population groups towards immigrants whose and insecurities are politically marginalized. Consequently, matter politics intertwines with security matters. This article articulates an entitlement, which feed into question who ‘merits’ politically. By focusing on individuals whom entitlement is denied populism, it investigates how immigrant women ‘feel’ enact their own everyday ‘felt’ security. The research conducted through in-depth interviews experienced Britain.
